we ask the schools to, you know, contribute to that, but we are the primary care givers and educators and sandy hook is a wonderful example. okay. back to me at age six. my mom took me to the grocery store and my parents are the children coming out of the depression so they're not big on entertaining impulse purchases. so i asked for a back of bubble gum, my mom said no. so i stole it. well, that did not go over well when my mother discovered this as we pulled into our driveway. she drove back to the store, made me hand the gum back to the cashier and apologize. and say that i would never do it again. that's the type of parenting we need. parenting is where we need to focus our attention. we do not need complex laws. i am a big proponent of individual accountability and enforcement. so if there are going be to be laws we should enforce them. what i would say, chicago has some of the toughest gun laws in the country and would i say to people who wanted to have a civil discussion on the topic, i don't think that gun laws are protecting the people, let alone the 500 who perished last yea
